Fishing Pike Bay is a great experience. Pan fishing is a great way for families to enjoy the lake, Perch and Rock Bass are in abundance. For the more serious anglers, Walleye, Northern, Largemouth Bass and Muskie. Not only are there numbers of walleye, we still catch 30 inch Walleyes mostly in the Spring and Fall. If you are looking for a trophy Walleye 25 inches or more, Pike Bay is still a good bet. Ojibway Resort has a 30 inch club. Muskies – we see more muskie every year, numbers are up. With trophy fish too, 30 pounds or 50 inches. Being we are in the National Forest, some people come for the Walleye opener in May and hunt black morel mushrooms at the same time. In the fall after mid September you may want to fish and grouse hunt for a vacation. If you are staying at Ojibway and need help finding fish, mushroom, or grouse, ask Ken, he’s always willing to help. |
